Teacher Collaboration
Collaborative Professional Learning
At HSHCS, we support our teachers to collaboratively grow their practice and improve student learning. In our Collaborative Professional Learning (CPL) sessions, teacher teams work together to co-plan using data to differentiate instruction for varied levels of students, analyze student work, debrief inter-visitations, and ongoingly assess student growth to inform modifications and provide varied entry points.
DATA WISE IMPROVEMENT PROCESS
Our Department Teacher Teams meet three times per week during 6th period to engage in the Data Wise Improvement Process. We analyze student data to create a Learner Centered Problem, examine classroom instruction through artifacts and inter-visitations to create a Teacher Problem of Practice, and develop and ongoingly assess an Action Plan to improve both teaching and student learning.
