I am the 9th & 10th-grade Bilingual School Counselor at the High School for Health Careers and Sciences.

I have worked as an Academic Advisor at two colleges (both private & public).

Also, HSHCS was my 1st H.S. that I worked at in 2005.

I am elated to return home to support our school community.

In addition, I have worked as a Guidance Counselor for 16 years in NY & FL.

I graduated from SUNY New Paltz & Long Island University (Brooklyn campus).

I am an advocate for all students & a liaison for parents, staff & the entire school community.

Hello,
I am Judith Alvarez the 11th and 12th grade Guidance Counselor. I obtained my MS. Ed with
a Bilingual Certification from LIU and have been a public-school counselor since 2003.

I was born and raised in the Washington Heights area of NYC, I am a mother of 2 amazing
daughters and love helping the youth of my school community. Daily,

I help guide students
through their academic journey by individually meeting with them to discuss their
graduation requirements, transcripts/credits, and future courses. In addition,

I help students by advocating for them, support in adjusting to high school, time management,
study skills and career exploration.
